Basilica Hudson is a reclaimed 19th century glue factory that has been artist operated since 2010. The festival’s program fused film, literature, sculpture, performance art with a range of noise, grindcore, shoegaze and electronic bands. Friday night was curated by friend and Pitchfork editor, Brandon Stosuy, which included a simultaneous sound piece with Kanye West collaborator Evian Christ, Pig Destroyer, Pharmakon and Julianna Barwick- organized by Stosuy,conceptual artist Matthew Barney and Berlin-based composer Jonathan Bepler.
The two day event featured performances by Pig Destroyer, Pharmakon, Evian Christ, Julianna Barwick, DIIV, Malang Djoateh, No Joy, Pure X, Cass McCombs and Teengirl Fantasy.
Readings by Peter Sotos and Richard Hell as well as a performance art piece by Genevieve White and a sculpture by Lionel Maunz.
