Rural Violence is a multi-part performance art piece conceived by Brandon Stosuy. The first iteration took place on August 8, 2015 in the Family Chapel of the Woodside Church in Troy, NY, featuring a performance by Prurient and art by Matthew Barney, Lionel Maunz, and Cindy Daignault. The second took place at Matthew Barney’s REMAINS in New York, NY; on November 21, 2015 with performances by Brennan Hall, Dana Wachs, and John Sharian.
